Pastor & Chaplain | Spiritual Care Provider | Community Leader
Based in Sudbury, Ontario, Olalekan (Ola) Adediran is a compassionate and mission-driven Pastor and Chaplain with over six years of experience in pastoral care, spiritual counseling, and community ministry. Dedicated to providing holistic support, Ola specializes in crisis intervention, trauma-informed ministry, and interfaith spiritual care.
Professional Ministry: Currently, Ola serves as a Prison Chaplain in Ontario, where he provides one-on-one spiritual care, pastoral counseling, and crisis intervention to incarcerated individuals. In this capacity, he leads worship and Bible studies while assisting inmates as they navigate grief, trauma, addiction, and family conflicts. He works collaboratively with correctional staff to ensure holistic care for those he serves.
Simultaneously, Ola provides pastoral leadership at the Sudbury Seventh-day Adventist Church. As part of the preaching team, he delivers sermons, offers spiritual encouragement, and engages in community visitation . committed to bridging gaps between the church and the city, he recently participated in an official delegation to the Sudbury Police Headquarters to strengthen community relations.
Background & Education: Ola’s ministry is built on a strong educational foundation. He holds a Master of Arts in Theology from Concordia University in Montreal and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Pastoral Ministry from Babcock University. He has completed specialized training in Psychosocial Spiritual Care through Southwest Forensic Mental Health and Clinical Professional Centre Consulting & Counseling, Inc..
His previous experience includes serving as an Associate Pastor for a 350-member congregation at Living Spring Chapel and completing a chaplaincy internship at Southwest Forensic Mental Health, where he designed care approaches for culturally diverse patients.
Community Impact: Beyond his professional roles, Ola is deeply involved in community service. He currently volunteers with the Elgin Street Mission in Sudbury and serves as the Coordinator for Youth & Singles for the Nigeria Adventist Association in Canada. His diverse background also includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and leadership experience in Pathfinder ministry.
